My Rambling Thoughts
Set up our weekly retirement group meeting for tomorrow. We’ll be going to Williams and eating at a restaurant with the best pies. So, no post tomorrow.
Sam’s had ‘essence of bamboo’ filled pillows on a great sale. They are big, soft, and the label says they won’t ‘deflate’ with use. Hmmm. I’ll see about that. While there I needed change for a $20, like 2-tens. Since I was paying for my purchases with a credit card, the lady had to call a supervisor to open the drawer. Then she tells me that Sam’s doesn’t give her $10’s in her till, only $20’s, $5’s, and $1’s. Can’t figure out why Sam’s doesn’t like $10’s. Neither could the clerk.
My local grocery store has added 6 new self-checkout stalls, to add to the 6 they already had. While shopping today, they only had 2 registers with clerks open with long lines at both. I use self-checkout when I have only a few items, but when I’m buying my weekly groceries I don’t want to have to scan and bag them myself at the teeny-tiny area they so graciously provide. Looks like baggers and clerks will soon be a thing of the past. Sad, as that is how I paid for my college degree.
