My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts
Winter just
won’t leave us alone. Woke up to sunshine with just a dusting of new snow. As
the morning progressed, the clouds came in. Looks like more moisture this
afternoon and evening. The forest needs the moisture, and now my vehicle needs
to be washed again.
In 1864, the
Navajo were on the second day of their long walk to Fort Sumner.
Very
disheartening: many Russian athletes at world-wide competitions, including the Paralympics,
are wearing a ‘Z’ on their uniforms. While the letter ‘Z’ is not part of the Cyrillic
alphabet, it has become a symbol in Russia to support the invading army of
Russia in Ukraine.
On a much
lighter note: Former heavyweight boxing champion, Vitali Klitschko, is the current
mayor of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. He has been in that position since 2014.
Though he is worth many millions, he is staying alongside his Ukrainian
brothers to protect his people against the Russian army. WOW!
