The myth of the lost city of Atlantis sinking beneath the waves may be based on the Greek island of Santorini, of which portions collapsed into the sea after a large volcanic eruption during the Bronze Age.

My Rambling Thoughts

Sunday started out chilly, but has warmed up nicely. I was planning on staying home all day, but a neighbor needed a ride to AutoZone so he could start his vehicle. When I went outside, it was warmer than I expected. Spent a little time cleaning the dash in my vehicle…steering wheel needed to lose the human oil + dirt.

The Broncos are not on my TV, it’s internet scores only. Because I’m in AZ, Cards game is on 5 different channels. Hoping for 2 wins today. Both teams are starting out well, but the final score is more important.

The NY Times ran an article about protests in Russia. [A Siberian shaman was trying to get to Moscow to do an exorcism on Putin to rid him of his evil ways. He was arrested and sent back to Siberia on his way]. Thanks Ellie for sharing. When traveling internationally with a group I fully understand that the tour guides are showing us the best view of their country possible…and that is what I want to see. Every country has its pros and cons. When tourists come to the US, I want them to see our best. If a country has more problems than successes, I don’t want to visit. I have avoided several countries in Africa due to their issues. When it appeared that Myanmar (Burma) was headed in a very positive direction, I wanted to visit, but two things prevented the visit. First, the positive direction was short lived and the costs were prohibitive…over $10K for a week visit. It is still on my bucket list, just not until things improve for a longer period of time.
