My Rambling Thoughts
Shopping day went well. No big crowds at Sam’s or grocery store.
When I left home for college I always knew of two presents at Christmas. One was new underwear/gold toe socks. The other was a new cologne. My mom would go to the men’s counter and talk to the salesman trying to find the newest and best scent. Since my mom passed, those presents must be bought by me. I do fine with the underwear and socks, but cologne is always an issue. I hate standing at the men’s counter and testing and talking to the salesperson. Today I found a new cologne I liked and it only took two samples to find it. The past couple of years I have just bought one I have had before to stop having to test any. I like the new one.
So, there was finally a minor shift in the Senate. All those weeks of hype, everyone in politics telling the Alabama voters how to vote, seem to have paid off for one party and not so much for the other party. Wish all that hype had been limited to the borders of Alabama and not the big deal on national news.
Now the so-called tax cut is what every channel is talking about. I’m all for a post card return, but that ain’t gonna happen this time. My greatest fear is that rushing this through will only lead to more loopholes, and more tax to be paid by me. If there is anyone that believes lowering the corporate tax rate will increase jobs and wages, I have a bridge I need to sell.

Bizarre News
*----------- Smelly, Smelly Revenge -----------*
An Oregon mother targeted by package thieves got back at the culprits with a decoy box filled with her infant son's soiled diapers. Angie Boliek posted a photo to Facebook showing the box of diapers she put out for thieves on her porch along with a note reading, "Enjoy this you thief!" Boliek said the initial stolen package contained 4-month-old Ben's new Christmas pajamas. The mother said she put the box of dirty diapers out on Sunday and it was gone by Monday evening. "I wanted to get my own, I guess, passive-aggressive revenge," Boliek said. Boliek said she reported the theft to the police and she and her husband are looking into installing a security camera on their porch.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
