My Rambling Thoughts
I figured by now we would be having cold temps and night and cool temps during the day. Not this year. Still cloudless sky with warm temps. Not complaining.
A few months ago I thought I was living in a nightmare as I watched our country move to what I consider the far right. Now I am beginning to think that I was actually living in a dream for all of the Obama administration and this is now our new reality. This is very frightening. I was raised to believe everyone was created equal, that everyone had something to offer our culture, that it was better to talk to your enemy than to kill them. As I have traveled to many countries, I have found that the people are kind, friendly, and doing what needs to be done to survive. Live and let live.
Some live in a reality I am not familiar with, but that doesn’t make them bad. Here in the US we were raised to believe that Chris discovered a continent that already had millions of people living here. In Viet Nam those around Hanoi are raised to believe that the US dropped an atomic bomb on them and they still won. Wrong information doesn’t make them evil or bad. Education is the key to finding truth.
I took one course in Economics in College. I started the second course and quickly realized it wasn’t for me. I transferred to another course that made sense to me. Listening to 45 compare the National Debt and the Stock Market numbers makes no sense to me and thankfully, it makes no sense to the many economists who took more than one course in college. The misinformation must be stopped. As a teacher I worked with colleagues who had very uninformed ideas that they passionately believed. Some could be educated, others, not so much. I was helping on a project at a school when a well-respected teacher told me how hard it was to get a left-handed student learn to write with her right hand. I said that I would never change a student’s preferred hand. She informed me that all left-handed students were ‘that way’ because during the birth process, they received a brain injury that had made them become left-handed. Hmmm. I looked at her and said, ‘well, since you aren’t a brain surgeon, you shouldn’t be changing their preference.’ Live and let live.

Bizarre News
*---- Woman Charged With Frying Pan Murder ----*
In what might be the most cliched murder in recent history, a woman is facing charges for the beating of her boyfriend to death with a frying pan. It was Labor Day weekend when police were called to a convenience market. Jason Lewis, 35, was conscious, but bleeding from the head after he said he had been beaten by his girlfriend with a pair of frying pans, according to the Camden County Prosecutor. The woman, 31-year-old Maleia Cole, fled to her home about a block away. Lewis later underwent emergency surgery but later succumbed to his injuries. Cole was apprehended without incident after being charged with murder and awaits a pre-trial detention hearing.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
