Random Tidbits

About two-thirds of shark attacks on humans have taken place in water less than six feet deep. Most shark attacks occur less than 100 feet from the shore. Shark attacks happen all over the world, but mainly around popular beaches in North America (especially Florida and Hawaii), Australia, and South Africa.

For every human killed by a shark, humans kill a million sharks.

Have a smile

True conversations while flying

Naturally, the ground control communications frequency fell terribly silent after the verbal bashing of US Air 2771. Nobody wanted to chance engaging the irate ground controller in her current state of mind. Tension in every cockpit out around Gatwick was definitely running high. Just then an unknown pilot broke the silence and keyed his microphone, asking:

"Wasn't I married to you once?

My Rambling Thoughts

Warming up to be a very warm summer day. Headed out early to water Andy’s outdoor plants. My doors and windows are open which gives me a nice breeze.

One more point on the defund police movement. 911 already deals with fires, by sending fire trucks, heart attacks by sending ambulances. There is little reason properly funded mental health professionals couldn’t also be sent to certain incidents.

This is real news: Trump’s re-election campaign sent a ‘cease and desist’ order to CNN over a poll that shows Biden ahead of Trump. They seem to believe that if the voters don’t hear it, it won’t be true.

Did AZ open too soon? Until June 3 the highest day of new cases was 581; on June 3 the number of new cases was 1579. Every map on TV now has AZ as bright red, and it is not because of our temperatures.

About a week ago I read the North and South Korea peace discussions were falling apart. At that time there was no reason given. Then yesterday it was revealed that North Korean defectors in South Korea were launching balloons filled with plastic pamphlets that were disparaging to Kim Jung Un. Over the past few weeks millions of these balloons have be sent over N. Korea. These defectors are also filling plastic bottles with dry rice and putting them in the ocean where the currents should carry them to N. Korean beaches, claiming that N. Koreans are starving every day. Some of these bottles are washing up on S. Korean beaches and the rice is moldy and ruined. No one knows why this happened.

 Today’s Puzzle

Answer at the bottom of the page

I can be quick and then I’m deadly,

I am a rock, shell and bone medley.

If I was made into a man, I’d make people dream,

I gather in my millions by ocean, sea and stream.

What am I?
