My Rambling Thoughts
It is another nice day, warm temps. How long can this keep going? I’m in no rush for it to end.
Number of electronic surveillance request made to the US Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court last year: 1457
Number that were denied: 0
I find this information very much like a Grand Jury, which I served on. Prior to my Grand Jury service, I figured, when reading about a trial, that if the Grand Jury had indicted a person, there must be some very compelling evidence against the person. WRONG. In that secret grand jury room, some Asst. DA tells the jury about his/her view of the crime. Sometimes an officer will be called. After hearing only one side of the case, the jury votes about the indictment. The Grand Jury I served on heard about 5 cases on Grand Jury Day, one day each week. In my 3 months of service, we indicted all but two. I voted no on two others that passed. On these FISC warrants, I find it hard to believe that there was enough evidence in every single case. I won’t get all excited when I hear about such warrants. They obviously don’t carry that much weight.

Bizarre News
A drunk driver pulled down her shirt and exposed her breasts to police officers who questioned her about erratic behavior, according to police in Florida.
The Martin County Sheriff's Office said that they have arrested 40-year-old Clairet Birdsall-Lopez, after being accused of driving under the influence of alcohol. Birdsall-Lopez has been charged with one count of driving under the influence.
According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Saturday, at around 2:00 a.m. Police noticed that Birdsall-Lopez did not stop her car at a stop sign and drove off the road.
Police pulled her over and began to question her.
At first, Birdsall-Lopez spoke in English, but then she told police that she only understands Spanish.
Birdsall-Lopez admitted to having a beer at a bar.
She then told officers that she had liposuction and cosmetic surgery on her breasts.
She pulled down her shirt and exposed her breasts to the officers.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
