My Rambling Thoughts
Great time at the local Home Show. Cheryl was sick and didn’t come
over from Williams. Mary and I spent about 2 hours checking out the displays
and then had lunch at Smash Burger…very good burgers!
While at the home show I ran into a former Tonalea student who is
now selling vehicles at the local Dodge dealer. His wife is going to NAU and he
is busy selling cars. Good to see him again.

~We had four fires this week. The first at St Anthony’s School,
origin unknown, according the Father Edward Albouy. The second at the home of
Sgt. & Mrs. T. C. Boutwell when a spark set the roof aflame. The roof was
lost, with the only other damage from water. Third at the home of Pete
Michaelbach of uncertain cause and damage slight. Then at Knowles Peerless
Bakery, where grease being heated caught fire; it was swiftly extinguished with
only light damage.

A Highway Patrolman started creeping up on a
highway speeder when it was evident that the individual being pursued realized
there was a Highway Patrolman behind him and he stepped on the gas to out run
the cruiser.
The trooper turned on his beacons and siren and after a brief chase, the
individual realized that he could not outrun the cruiser and decided it would
be best if he just pulled over to the side and just give up.
The Trooper pulled up behind the speeder and then walked up to the driver's
side window. He said, "Sir, why were you trying to out-run me? You knew it
would end this way."
The speeder said, "Officer, please understand, I meant you no disrespect,
but my wife ran off with a Highway Patrolman last month and I thought you were
bringing her back."

Really Happened
Las Vegas- Now that last one may not seem so tragic, but you have
to consider; it was a free buffet coupon FOR LIFE!
That was what sent one Las Vegas man over the edge just this Easter past.
In his final message to the world John Noble blamed his suicide on depression
that set in after the Henderson resort awarded him free meals at the buffet for
life, then banned him from the property in 2013 for harassing some of the women
working there.
Well, I suppose losing everything you've ever worked for CAN be traumatic
enough to make a person take his own life, but if the shining success in your
life is all-you-can-eat Turkey a la King, soggy vegetable medley and soft-serve
ice cream, you may have failed to exploit some opportunities.
And this was not a bad decision made on the spur of the moment. Noble fought
the loss of his 'prize' for several years, but when he couldn't afford a
lawyer, not even one who would work on contingency of free Salisbury Steak, he
prepared an elaborate suicide note and plan.
Noble documented his struggle with the Henderson Resort and his final decision
with a stack of notes and documents that included more than 270 pages,
photographs and a two-hour DVD of him talking about his troubles.
The second-to-last page, titled "The Curse," spells out all the harm
he wishes on those he believed wronged him. Included on the list are several
women who worked at the buffet and who Noble showered with gifts and unwanted
attention after he won meals for life there in 2010.
He then mailed the entire package to a local newspaper before going to the
buffet that apparently ruined his life and blowing his brains all over the crab
legs.
Henderson police said two people were hurt attempting to flee the area after
the shot rang out. One person was transported to a local hospital with minor
injuries from a fall. Another person was checked out by paramedics at the
scene.
