My
Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts
Monsoon
continues. There was street flooding yesterday in a couple of areas of
Flagstaff after 1.75” of rain fell on the peaks. It made a mess, but no homes
were flooded. Storms in in the forecast for this afternoon.
Congrats to
the CO Avalanche for winning the Stanley Cup.
Good game 6. Now for the parade.
I’ve heard
about the Havana Syndrome. Until I watched 60 Minutes last night, I didn’t
realize how many children of government workers are also affected. It is so
sad.

Earth’s Secrets
A Magnitude
12 Earthquake Would Split the Earth in Half
"We've
never seen anything larger than 9.5 and it was longer than the state of
California," says Jones. "It would be theoretically impossible to
have a magnitude 13 earthquake since it would require a fault bigger than the
Earth."
Trivia
1. The
hybrid 'Pepper X' was created by Ed Currie in 2017. At over 3 million Scoville
heat units it is the hottest pepper in the world and is judged to be too
dangerous for human consumption in its pure form.
2. Carolina Reaper. The second-hottest pepper in the world, the Carolina Reaper clocks in at an astonishing 2.2 million Scoville heat units.
3. Trinidad Moruga Scorpion. The Trinidad Moruga Scorpion briefly held the world record in 2012, before being replaced by the Carolina Reaper. People who've dared to eat it say the heat doesn't seem so bad at first, but mounts fast and keeps on climbing.
