My
Rambling Thoughts
Cheryl and I got together for our weekly lunch. I shared some
Ireland pictures, she has broken down and decided it’s time to get hearing
aids. Glad to hear it as she misses out on so much. The final straw was talking
over an hour with her oldest grandson about his college experience and
realizing she only heard about 25% of what he said. She also told me about her
iPod problems. Seems she hasn’t connected her iPod for several months and when
she did, she discovered, just like I did before my trip that iTunes has changed
so much it takes time to figure out what to do. Glad I’m not the only one with
problems like that.
Before going to lunch, I moved some furniture around in the living
room and the back room. Seasons always bring change to my house. Still have work
to do with the back room, but am in good shape in the living room.
The PM of Canada has always been politically linked to Bush II.
Now that Canada has had a couple of terrorist attacks in the past few days, it
is interesting to see how Canadians are warning that they don’t want to make
some of the mistakes the US made after 9/11. While they want to remain safe,
they don’t want to lose their individual rights. An interesting story to
follow.

a bear with bow and arrow on Sunday morning while they were deer hunting south
of town. The seniors from ASU were working from a deer blind off Black
Canyon Highway when they spotted the 88-pound bear.
-The City Council has approved an agreement with the Arizona Pulp
and Paper Co. for a new well and the sale of its water. The paper company will
drill the well and pay maintenance for 25 years in return for 200 gallons per
minute that the city will sell them.

A Delaware man's lawsuit alleges he awoke from anesthesia after a
colonoscopy procedure to find he had been dressed in a pair of pink panties.
The New Castle County Superior Court lawsuit, filed by attorney Gary Nitsche on
behalf of Andrew Walls, 32, said Walls was employed by the Delaware Surgery Center
in Dover when he underwent a colonoscopy procedure at the facility in 2012.
Nitsche said his client was put under anesthesia during the procedure and he
awoke after surgery to find someone had dressed him in pink women's underwear.
"When the plaintiff initially presented for his colonoscopy
he had not been wearing pink women's underwear and at no time did the plaintiff
voluntarily, knowingly or intentionally place the pink women's underwear upon
himself," the lawsuit states. Jennifer Anderson, director of the Delaware
Surgery Center, declined to comment Wednesday.
"We just found out about this yesterday afternoon," she
told the News Journal.
The lawsuit, which also names the Eden Hill Surgical Group of
Dover, alleges Walls suffered "severe emotional stress," and Nitsche
wrote his client is seeking compensation for mental anguish, lost wages and
loss of earning capacity.

Patrick “Willy” Stuart-Houston was the nephew of Adolf Hitler, son of Alois
Hitler, Jr., and his first wife, Bridget Dowling.
In
1939 he wrote the book “Why I hate my uncle”, which reflects the problems
William faced in his career for being Hitler’s nephew in Germany, as well as
England.
He
eventually went to the United States, where he enlisted to fight in World
War II.

website back then had only text explaining some of the basics of the

but for many years that URL has been redirecting to http://info.cern.ch.
Recently,
CERN found a copy of the 1992 site and put it back online at its original
address, which you can visit here, while employees of CERN are still trying to find

to the 2005 estimation that the Amazon Rain forest would be reduced
by 40% in two decades, the global authorities were alarmed.
Aiming
at slowing down deforestation of the Amazon rainforest the Norwegian Government
donated $1 billion to the newly established Amazon fund.
For
the history, deforestation of the Amazon rainforest can be attributed to many
different factors and the annual deforestation rate from 2000 to 2005 was 18%
higher than in the previous five years.
