Rambling Thoughts

At last I got my e-tickets for my Ethiopia trip. I have to print
them out to carry them over there—all 5 pages. Guess I shouldn’t bitch, it’s
going to be a great trip. After reading all the literature on the trip, it
looks like I won’t be taking a computer with me. Most of our hotels don’t have
wifi..it is really third world. I’ll be taking lots of video and pictures, and
will have some great stories when I get home.
We had a great lunch today. We all had a busy week. Cheryl is
working on her yard, getting ready for winter. Mary is heading to Phx for a
couple of birthdays. Mary’s mom is not doing well at all. She will head up
there when she her mom is off some of the morphine, or when the end is certain.
This is such a difficult time for her and the family. Her daughter is still
suffering morning sickness as she moved into her second trimester. The daughter
is not happy about that. Mary’s 2 year old grandson is into dinosaurs. His mom
was talking to him about meat eaters and plant eaters. He asked her if any
plants eat meat. She said no because plants have no way of running to catch any
meat. His next question was “What about Venus Fly Traps?” TWO years 8months old.
Hmmm.

It Really Happened
.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - Three senior citizens became sick after
eating marijuana-laced brownies at a memorial service in Huntington Beach,
Calif., police said. The three people, described by police as being in their
70s and 80s, were admitted Saturday to Hoag Hospital with nausea, dizziness and
inability to stand unassisted.
The patients, residents of Huntington Beach and nearby Newport
Beach, had been at a memorial service for a mutual friend where they had eaten
brownies that contained marijuana, police said.
The patients said they had no idea the brownies contained
so-called medical marijuana, the Huntington Beach Police Department said Sunday
in posting on the department's Facebook page.
"It is important for the community to understand that
marijuana is a drug, and like all other drugs and alcohol, it is important to
understand the negative consequences it creates in our community," the
police department said in the Facebook posting. "Calling it 'medical
marijuana' does not make it any safer."
