My Rambling Thoughts
Lazy, cloudy Monday here. Stayed up way to late watching Netflix,
but enjoyed every minute.
After watching the American Flag fly in Havana, and the Cuban flag
fly in DC, I paid the remainder of my upcoming Cuban trip. So excited to see
how things have changed in this short time with the opening of diplomatic
relations.
The Clown Bus keeps just more crowded and many on the bus should
just jump off so the bus doesn’t crash. That include the ones that are against
diplomatic relations with our enemies, or with those who don’t agree with us. It is really hard to talk to anyone when you
refuse to acknowledge their existence. It is hard to change a mind when you
refuse to talk to them.

100 YEARS AGO-1915
J. M. Busby’s Minstrels played to a crowded house on Thursday
night. The seating capacity was entirely filled. There were at least 1,000
people, including standees in the tent. This is the first time minstrels have
visited the Flagstaff canvas. The show was new, clean, up-to-date and a real
crowd-pleaser.
Delph Willard was up from Oak Creek on Wednesday and says thanks
to good rains the crops are in splendid shape.

Yep, It Really
Happened
Sure, you can go to Mexico for cheap drugs, cheap dentistry, even
cheap surgeries. There was that famous story of the woman who went to Mexico to
have her breasts enlarged to 36 double-Hs (or something ridiculous) because no
licensed surgeon in the U.S. would do it. But you might want to draw the line
at baby deliveries after you read this story.
A baby in Mexico, was rushed to a pediatric specialist after medical students
cut off his private parts, thinking they were cutting his umbilical cord,
according to a complaint filed by the parents.
The father of the boy, Diego Rangel Izaguirre, said that doctors tried to cover
up the injury by keeping him away from the newborn for hours. Because
apparently that is accepted medical practice in Mexico.
The mother of the boy said that he should have been left in the care of
professionals and not medical students.
But never fear; the little tyke had his wee winky sewn back on and hospital
officials insist that the baby is healthy and that the operation was minor...even
if he ends up with a crooked pecker later in life.
The couple filed an official complaint with the hospital, which has launched an
internal investigation.

Somewhat Useless
Information
Zumba
was created by Alberto "Beto" Perez, an aerobics instructor in Cali,
Colombia, when he forgot his workout music for a class. He improvised with some
salsa and merengue tapes he happened to have in his backpack, and the class was
an instant hit!
At first, Perez conducted nine to 10 classes a week, and then it took off in
Bogota, Colombia. When he took Zumba to the US, it didn't catch on at first.
However, one fitness director in Miami finally gave him a chance and by the end
of the class, the room was full. The rest is history!
The word Zumba is Colombian slang for buzz like a bee or move very fast.
Even though Zumba is a relatively new fitness craze, it's actually been around
since the mid-90s.
The dance steps in Zumba are inspired by a wide array of musical influences,
including cumbia, salsa, merengue, mambo, flamenco, cha cha cha, reggaeton,
soca, samba, belly dancing, bhangra, hip hop, axe music, and tango.
It is estimated that participants in a Zumba class can burn anywhere between
500-1,000 calories in one hour, although this depends on the individual and the
level of exertion.
