Rambling Thoughts
Second cataract surgery went just fine. This eye is tearing up a lot more than the first one, but can still see so it’s all good. I was back home by 9a and ate breakfast, then took a nap. Ate some lunch and took another nap. Only a little irritation. Thanks to Martha for hauling me over at 7a and bringing me home. She is also hauling me over tomorrow morning about 8 for a check up. Then I wait about a month for a script for new glasses. I already knew I would still be wearing glasses since I need a prism in both lenses..something about lazy muscles in both eyes. Still amazed at how simple the procedure is. At least for the patient.

I am a protector. I sit on a bridge. One person can see right through me, while others wonder what I hide.

Unusual
Fact of the Day
Bela Lugosi, famous for playing Dracula in the 1931 classic, was not fluent in English, but learned his words line for line for the movie.
Joke-of-the-day
Two cowboys are riding their horses together on the prairie. They come upon a big pile of manure. The first cowboy goes to the second, "I will bet you a $1000 that I can eat all of this crap." The second cowboy agrees, so the first cowboy eats the entire pile and wins $1000.The two cowboys ride on and after some time come across another pile of manure. This time the second cowboy bets the first that he too can eat the whole pile for $1000. The first cowboy agrees and the second cowboy eats the entire pile and wins the bet. They ride on again. After a while the first cowboy says to the second, "Do you realize that we just ate a whole pile of manure for nothing?"

LIGHTING A PORTRAIT SUBJECT
When shooting portraits, the best depiction of the face results when your brightest light comes from the side and above the face, casting a triangular highlight on the far cheek.
Yeah, It
Really Happened
There is a name for a woman who sleeps with a whole bunch of guys for money, and that name is Elina Desaine.A British dating website ran a contest to find 'Britain's horniest student' and attracted hundreds of male and female candidates who documented their conquests online. The winner, 20-year-old Elina wrote: "I should be the UK's horniest student because I have sex with at least 2-to-3 different people a week." It is hard to compete with those kinds of numbers. Some of her proudest moments, she wrote, were sleeping with two of the university union's bartenders and having sex in a university computer room.Latvian-born Elina who refers to herself as a 'Slutvian', said winning the contest has made her 'even hornier.'The website's creator said, "After meeting with Elina personally I am 100 percent confident I have found the horniest student in the country. I have never met someone so sexually confident."All of her hard work and determination won Elina 500 British pounds, a year's supply of condoms, a mobile phone and a crate of alcohol.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at
least one other source, but I have learned that every site has mistakes and
sadly once out the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is
therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian
calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
