Wow…summer has arrived. Almost 80° today with little wind.
Had a good lunch and conversation with Mary and Cheryl. Great
Mexican food at our favorite Mexican place. We all had a good week.
Can’t believe it is almost May. Wow, time flies.
Sure hope the upcoming weekend has peace in all the major cities. I
keep wondering if a citizen was involved in an incident that ended with a death
if the citizen would be allowed to walk free without ever being arrested and
released on bond. That is not how it is on TV.

with all the snowmelt. This rare event has been running for an unusual 10 days
now and can be seen from the Encinosa Picnic Grounds.

city vehicles at a cost of $4.40 each for trucks and $1.15 per passenger car to
be installed by the Firestone Store.

Skiing is excellent at Bill Williams on 12 inches of packed and
new snow. The Snow Bowl has 80 to 100 inches on the upper slopes and night
skiing is available Friday and Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m.

policeman approaches the driver’s door.

The policeman says, "Sir, you were speeding. Can I see your license

The policeman is shocked. "I see. Can I see your vehicle registration

At this point the officer is getting irate. "You what?"

back up. Within minutes, five police cars show up, surrounding the car. A
senior officer slowly approaches the car, clasping his half-drawn gun.
The senior officer says, "Sir, could you step out of your vehicle
please!"
The man steps out of his vehicle. "Is there a problem, sir?"
"One of my officers told me that you have stolen this car and murdered the
owner."
"Murdered the owner?"
The officer responds, "Yes, could you please open the trunk of your car
please?"
The man opens the trunk, revealing nothing.
The officer says, "Is this your car sir?"
The man says, "Yes" and hands over the registration papers.
The officer, understandably, is quite stunned. "One of my officers claims
that you do not have a driving license."
The man digs in his pocket revealing a wallet and hands it to the officer. The
officer opens the wallet and examines the license. He looks quite puzzled.
"Thank you, sir. One of my officers told me you didn't have a license,
stole this car, and murdered the owner."
The man replies, "I bet you the liar told you I was speeding, too!"

MILAN,
Italy (UPI) - The latest museum to dump knowledge on Italy is the Museo Della
Merda, a facility dedicated to the study of human and animal feces. The Museo
Della Merda, which roughly translates to "Museum of Poop," although
the intended wording is somewhat more profane, describes itself as an
"agency for change" that "houses documents and information on
excrement in culture, technology and history." The poo-seum aims to show
"what a useful and living substance crap really is." Headquartered in
the Piacenza province hamlet of Castelbosco, it held a launch event Monday at
the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology in Milan. The exhibit
tracks the history of excrement and seeks to educate visitors on the ways poo
is put to good use around the world. "Few phenomena are so rich in
material and conceptual complexity as the cultural history of
[excrement]," the museum said. The museum was founded by Gianantonio
Locatelli, a Castelbosco farmer who wanted to put the 220,000 pounds of excrement
created by his animals each day to good use. Museum tours can be arranged for
Saturdays and Sundays between May and August.

Useless Information
The
game show The Price Is Right debuted in 1956, hosted by Bill Cullen. Drew Carey
has been the host of The Price Is Right since 2007.
In 1972 the daytime game show became The New Price Is Right, hosted by Bob
Barker. During his tenure, Bob Barker only missed one tape day of The Price Is
Right's daytime version. It was in the mid-1970's.
When Bob Barker was the host, every person who attended a taping received a
postcard with Bob Barker's picture on it. The printed text on the back told
your friends to watch you on the show. You wrote in the airdate and dropped it
in the mailbox outside in the lobby of Studio 33. The Price Is Right paid the
postage!
You are eligible to be a contestant if you are 18 years of age or older and
have not been on The Price Is Right in over 10 years (or any other game show
within the past year). The show tapes in Los Angeles, California.
Cars get shown more often during the course of a game than other prizes do
because the show gets paid a flat fee every time the car appears on viewers'
screens.
The original Showcase Showdown wheel was spun "sideways" rather than
"forward" and there was no $1000 bonus, nor a bonus spin.
