My Free Rambling Thoughts   

A nice Monday, not too hot, not too cool, not too windy…but just right. Windows open and fresh air moving through the house. Then the weatherman comes on the TV and says to expect a couple of inches of snow on Thursday.  

 

I got calls from a former teacher at Tuba. She must be in her early 90’s by now. She is living down in Casa Grande with her grandson. None of us had heard from her for many many months and were concerned about her well being. Glad to hear she is doing OK…although she wanted me to get a bunch of people together to re-open the government. I think I convinced her that everything will be OK. However she ended the call with ‘call me and let me know your plan.’ Also today a current teacher at Tuba sent out a message that she was ready to move from Tuba and needed letters of recommendation. Interesting way to contact everyone by simply tagging them in her message. I private messaged her to find out what she was thinking. Seems she has a desire to move to Kaibeto, both educationally and spiritually. She is an outstanding teacher with a good head on her shoulders, so I’ll get a letter together this week.

 

I’m still happy with Firefox using Windows7. So much easier and so much faster. Too bad I waited so long to switch from IE. One would think since IE is a Microsoft product, it would work best on a Windows machine…but one would be very wrong…Chrome, Safari, and Firefox all work better, faster, and more easily.

While at the beach, Daniel Jones, 21, dug an 8 foot hole for protection from the wind and had been sitting in a beach chair at the bottom, when it collapsed, burying him beneath 5 feet of sand. People on the beach used their hands and shovels trying to get him out but could not reach him. It took rescue workers using heavy equipment almost an hour to free him. Jones was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Yeah, It Really Happened

OKLAHOMA CITY - An Oklahoma man was arrested on burglary charges after police matched his DNA to used toilet paper found at the scene of the crime, police said. Charles Marqull Williams, 20, was charged Wednesday with burglary in Oklahoma County District Court for allegedly stealing from an area home, The (Oklahoma City) Oklahoman reported. Police said the suspect broke into the home, took several items, and used the bathroom before taking off. Unflushed feces and a used piece of toilet paper on the floor were found at the scene. Police matched DNA found in the messy bathroom to Williams.
