Thoughts for the day
I went out this morning to pick up
Andy & Faith’s mail and water their yard trees. The prairie dogs were out
in force when I got there. They rapidly scurried back to their underground
homes when I started walking around.
The removal of Student Visas is sure a
mess. The administration doesn’t seem to know how to do it or even why…they are
just ‘fer-er-ners’.
Trump is saying he will be $5000 to
newborns to bring up the birth rate. At the same time he is cutting many social
programs that will help those children as they grow up.
Ancient Civilizations Few Have Heard Of…
The
Teotihuacans: Mexico ©Burkhard Mücke on Wikimedia
The
Teotihuacans built one of the most impressive cities in ancient Mesoamerica.
Their city, with its grand pyramids and complex layout, was a cultural and
religious center. The origins and fall of Teotihuacan still intrigue
historians, and its architectural wonders remain evidence of the civilization’s
engineering brilliance.

When I was a kid, I thought it

In 2003, archaeologists
found 20,000-year-old human footprints in the Australian Outback of a male they
called T8. Scientists determined he was running 23 mph in mud, barefoot, and
was even accelerating before the tracks stopped.

Taught in High School but not true…
We only use 10% of our brain
Sorry, all those ‘unlock your
brain’s full potential’ ads are just using an old Einstein joke to make money;
he once told a journalist he only used 10% of his brain as an answer to a
question concerning his intelligence. The reality is that we use 100% of our
brains at different times for a variety of functions.
