Today's fun facts are all about bicycles!

Orville and Wilbur Wright, the brothers who built the first flying airplane, operated a small bike repair shop in Dayton, Ohio. They used their workshop to build the 1903 Wright Flyer.

Fred A. Birchmore, 25, circled the globe by bicycle in 1935. The entire trip, through Europe, Asia, and the United States, covered forty thousand miles. He pedaled about 25,000 miles. The rest was traveled by boat. He wore out seven sets of tires.

Americans use their bicycles for less than one percent of all urban trips. Europeans bike in cities a lot more often - in Italy 5 percent of all trips are on bicycle, 30 percent in the Netherlands, and seven out of eight Dutch people over age 15 have a bike.

My Rambling Thoughts

I have become totally confused by the Brexit thing. This morning while I waited for a Dr. I read 6 articles about Brexit on CNN. I thought our government was in turmoil. I guess I was wrong. There are so many factions in Britain…NO Brexit; Soft Brexit, Hard Brexit. I sure hope they work it out.

As if I’m not confused enough, now CNN is holding town hall meetings with the top Dem candidates on Climate Change. I’m retired, but even I don’t have 4 ½ hours to watch. I’ll listen to each candidate for a while.

This puzzle aims to throw you off balance with shock. But pay attention to the first verb, “shoots.” What else can you shoot with besides a gun? There lies the key to the whole thing.
