My
Rambling Thoughts
On our Amazon
trip we stayed at Ceiba Tops Lodge. This is where we got our first view of the
Amazon River and local villages along the river. One night we had a local high
school group entertain us with music and song…and one girl who danced with an
Anaconda. The students really enjoyed entertaining us. I learned not to be too afraid of that huge snake. Little did I know, each village would greet us with a teenage boy holding an Anaconda.
Day 5 took us to
our river ship for a 7-day cruise on the Amazon. Our 1st night
included a night boat ride to see the nocturnal life in the Amazon. An amazing
ride. Our crew also entertained us with local music. Never figured out who had
more fun, the crew or the passengers.
On the home front…healing
is progressing as some of the tape is starting to break loose from each of the
two scars. Yeah!
Watching the news
for the past few weeks sure has me glad that 1984 was required reading in my youth. Doublespeak seems to be in
full swing. One with a rudimentary education is having a very hard time knowing
the truth.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet
sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned
that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there,
many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events
occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be
totally accurate.
