Thoughts for the day

Another windy day, just spring at 7000’.

There was much damage in KY and Missouri…another sign of spring.

It was 45 years ago that Mount St. Helen erupted. One of our teachers at Tuba was from that area. Her family sent her a box of the ash. Mary then had any interested teachers stop by and get some to show to their classes. An interesting educational experience. I still have a vile that she gave me.

A Mexican Navy ship clipped the Brooklyn Bridge. The result was 2 dead crew members and destroyed 3 of the ship’s masts. An investigation will better inform us as to why this occurred.

Native American Tribal Proverbs

"All things are connected. Whatever befalls the Earth, befalls the children of the Earth."© Salon.com

This proverb highlights the interconnectedness of all life on Earth. It teaches that every action has a ripple effect, influencing the broader ecosystem. Understanding this connection fosters empathy and mindfulness, urging us to live in harmony with nature.

It reminds us that our well-being is tied to the health of the planet. Embracing this wisdom can guide us to make decisions that support ecological balance, promoting a sustainable future for ourselves and future generations.

Random Thoughts…

In the event of an apocalypse, I would spend the first 20 minutes wondering why the internet doesn’t work.

The Seven Virtues #4- Fortitude is never giving up.

The first reference to Google on TV was on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Last night I had to change a light bulb, a bit later on I crossed the road, then walked into a bar. I began to realize my life was one big joke.

The Swiss were very confident they’d win the war considering there is a corkscrew on the Swiss Army knife.

Unknown Civilizations that once ruled the world…

Nabatean Kingdom © Britannica

The Nabatean Kingdom, famous for its capital Petra, thrived in the Arabian desert from the 4th century BCE to 106 CE. Masters of trade, they controlled vital caravan routes, connecting the East with the Mediterranean.

Their architectural marvels, carved into rose-red cliffs, reflect their engineering prowess. Nabateans excelled in water management, creating sophisticated systems to sustain life in arid regions. Their legacy lives on through Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The kingdom's decline began with Roman annexation, but their innovations in trade and architecture continue to inspire modern scholars.
