MY FREE RAMBLING THOUGHTS
A quiet Sunday…with the constant wind…and the very cool temps….and the hungry birds…and a few clouds. I caught up on some TV…and some laundry.
I wanted to spend some time outside, but it was too chilly to enjoy much time outside. I did sweep the deck and feed the birds. This IS May, after all.
It is the first of the month, so our little area is changing…new neighbors are moving in, others are moving out. It should be a good summer…if it ever gets here.
News just broke that Osama bin Laden has been killed in Pakistan. Whoa…guess it wasn’t a lazy day everywhere. The story is that it was done with those very quiet predator drones and that the US has possession of the body. I hate to be a cynic, but this could easily have Al Qaeda retaliate somewhere in the US. This 54 year old terrorist has way too many followers.

>The nickname Heartbreak Hill originated in 1936 from a story written by Boston Globe reporter Jerry Nason. While running through the hills, John Kelley caught race leader Ellison “Tarzan” Brown, patting him on the shoulder and passing him. CHENEY, Wash. - A Washington state man who said he forgot to pay for a 99-cent hot dog was cleared of theft by a jury. John Richardson, 30, said he spent $28 at Mitchell's IGA in Cheney in December but forgot to pay for the 99-cent hot dog he ate while shopping, The Spokesman-Review, Spokane, Wash., reported Wednesday. Richardson and other witnesses said he offered to pay for the sausage when the manager confronted him outside of the store, but the payment was refused and police were called. A jury took less than five minutes to clear Richardson of the theft charge.
"From all the testimony, you'd have to be an idiot to not realize that the guy simply forgot," juror Patrick Reeves said. "It took the jury about five minutes to come to a verdict."

"Hi!" It was my peppy mother-in-law. She proceeded to rattle on about the busy day she had ahead and all the things that awaited her the rest of the week.
