Woman finds
knife-wielding squirrel in back yard
A Toronto woman captured
video when she looked into her backyard and was confronted with a bizarre
sight: a squirrel holding a knife. Andrea Diamond, who lives in the Rosedale
area of Toronto, said squirrels are a common sight in her back yard, but
Wednesday morning she spotted a squirrel that had picked up a paring knife she
had left near a tent outside her home. "So apparently knife wielding
squirrels are a thing now," Diamond tweeted along with footage of the
squirrel. She said the rodent gnawed on the knife handle for a while before
abandoning the tool. She said the animal returned a short time later to chew on
the knife a little longer. Diamond said the squirrel did not appear to have
injured itself with the sharp object.

My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts
Cloudy with what looks like more snow. Wonder what the Groundhog will
see? Right now, it looks like it will be snowing when he pokes his head out.
My local branch of Chase has been closed for several months due to
Covid. The drive up and ATM work. This morning I needed to deposit some checks
that the ATM machine refused to take last week. There are two drive ups. I
pulled into the line of 4 vehicles at 9:57a. I waited…and waited…and waited.
Finally, I got to the window. I pulled away from the window at 10:59. My line moved
faster than the other one. There must be a better way.
In Navajo February is ‘Atsa’ Biyaazh, which means Hatching of Baby
Eagles.
I have not heard this before, but it is from a fairly reliable source:
The Navajo word for Anglos is Billiganna [bell a gone a] which
translates to ‘those we fight with’ or ‘those who fight with each
other’.
We all have a bucket list of some sort. Mine has always included
Burma, now Myanmar. A few years ago, Focus checked into it, and it was way too
