Today’s Quote
I am pieces of all the places I have
been,
and the people I have loved.
I’ve been stitched together by song
lyrics,
book quotes, adventure,
late night conversations, moonlight,
& the smell of coffee.
~ Brooke Hampton
Random Tidbits
Because
redheads have thicker hair than people with other hair colors, they have fewer
strands of hair. For example, while blondes have on average 140,000 hairs, redheads
have approximately 90,000.
Red
hair is a recessive trait, which means that a child must inherit one red hair
gene from each parent. Recessive traits often come in pairs, and redheads are
more likely than other people to be left handed.

My Rambling Thoughts
Beautiful
day for a nice walk. So, I took one.
Using
the internet machine, I made the final payment for my Tahiti trip in March and paid
my auto insurance.
Here
is an interesting story from Newsweek:
Berliners
are trolling Trump by shipping him a 2.7-ton piece of the Berlin Wall
“We would like to give you one of the last
pieces of the failed Berlin Wall to commemorate the United States’ dedication
to building a world without walls,” says a message painted on the concrete
slab, which is signed by “Citizens of Berlin.”
I’ve
been with the current Chase bank since they bought out the last bank and since that
bank bought out the original bank…a local AZ bank called Valley National.
Thankfully none of my account numbers have changed since I went to Valley
National in the early 1980’s. Now I’m having issues with the Chase ATM drive
thru at MY bank. The last four times I punched in everything and got a receipt
that said there were technical difficulties. The first time it messed up I just
drove around to the outside ATM and go my cash. The 2nd time I went
inside and told them and they reported it. The 3rd time I reported
it again to the Lead Bank Assistant. She told me that the code on my receipt
means my card may have a fraud issue. I asked why the card worked at the inside
ATM? She said she didn’t know but I should call customer service. After 2
people and a supervisor, I was assured by customer service that my card had no
problems and that it must be the outside ATM. The last time the card failed I
went inside and waited 15 minutes to see the real Bank Manager. She agreed that
her assistant should not have used the word ‘fraud’ to a customer, told me that
the outside ATM was one of the oldest ones in AZ and was ‘quirky’. She also said
they get daily complaints and the company that services the machine is out
almost daily to ‘fix’ it, but the ‘fix’ never lasts long. She said the bank is
so old they can’t even have piped in music anymore. It is up for a complete ‘revamp’
but she has no idea when that will happen. I asked her if she had considered ‘Twitter’
to get the revamp. She said she had but knew that would get her fired. My dilemma
is: do I give up on the ATM or try it, then go inside, complain, and get my
cash inside, or do I drive to the other side of town (about 6 miles away) to
use the drive thru at another branch? I think I’ll just skip the ATM for a time.
