Today was National Relaxation Day, and I took full advantage of the opportunity. It was a little breezy but overall it was nice to be outside relaxing. We need to have more days like this. Even being retired does not mean that every day is for relaxation.
Here in Flagstaff we all get these mailers, addressed to Occupant, that are little booklets of advertisements. The one that came yesterday had an interesting ad. Flagstaff Mall will be the venue for a ‘Tea Party’. That’s the conservative group that concerned that we Americans are paying too much in taxes. They claim to be a grassroots organization that is against irresponsible fiscal policy, against intrusive government, for stopping the passage of the Healthcare bills, and effecting positive change in communities. Hmmm. These are the some of the people behind the scenes at so many Town Hall Meetings. These are the people with signs like “Obama’s Plan—White Slavery”, “TEA = Taxed Enough Already”, or they use the swastika on posters about healthcare, “If you want to stop 1984, you need some 1776”. It will be interesting to see how Flagstaff turns out for this event.
This is the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock. I was in college and working out west. I didn’t really learn about it until the movie came out. Great music. When the movie came out, suddenly lots of people from the Northeast had been there. I’m still not sure why they kept their attendance such a secret until there was a hit movie and the music was selling well. I don’t really know if I ever met anyone who was at the first Woodstock. But no matter, the music changed America. The concept also changed our country.

Crazy Stuff In The News…
OVIEDO, Fla. - A Florida woman who lost her wallet with $2,000 cash at a store said the money was returned by an anonymous woman who said her daughter had the money.
Oviedo police said the woman was shopping last week at a Charlotte Russe clothing store in the Oviedo Marketplace shopping center when she accidentally left without picking up her wallet from a bench where she had set it down, WKMG-TV, Orlando, Fla., reported Thursday. Police said the store does not have security cameras and Charlotte Russe employees were unable to locate the wallet. The woman later told police she received a package in the mail containing her wallet, her driver’s license and the $2,000. She said the anonymously mailed package included a note from a woman who wrote she had discovered the items among the belongings of her daughter, who had planned to spend the cash at Victoria’s Secret.
