Free Rambling Thoughts:
Doing the blog early today, as I have visitors this evening. Went to see my PCP and still don’t have the thyroid medicine figures out. I have never noticed any changes, but my blood sees things differently. Now I am decreasing one of the meds for 3 months and see what happens. I hope he figures out my blood soon, as I’m tired of being stuck with no noticed change in how I’m feeling…especially since I feel very good.

HUMBLE PIE…The expression to eat humble pie was once to eat umble pie. The umbles were the intestines or less appetising parts of an animal and servants and other lower class people ate them. So if a deer was killed the rich ate venison and those of low status ate umble pie. In time it became corrupted to eat humble pie and came to mean to debase yourself or act with humility.

CAMDEN, N.J. - A former resident of Camden, N.J., said her "Say Something Nice About Camden" billboard is aimed at improving the reputation of the city. Jennifer Barton, a former Camden resident who now works as a communications executive in New York, said the billboard is part of her campaign to raise the profile of the city's positive points, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Tuesday. "Saying something nice about the city is a small, positive action that can turn into something powerful," Barton said. "I'd like to raise the visibility of the really good things that are happening there." Barton said a website, saysomethingniceaboutcamden.org, has been set up to allow people to share positive thoughts about the city, as well as Facebook and Twitter accounts for the same purpose. "My billboard is a personal, artistic message," Barton said. "It's thought-provoking ... and also a call to action."
Somewhat Useless Information
- The fertility rate measures the number of births occurring per 1,000 women between the ages of 15-44 in a particular year. Tracking trends in fertility and birth rates is essential in planning for the current and future needs of multiple generations.
- In 2011, the birth rate for women ages 15 to 29 continued to decline across all age groups, following a small peak in 2007. The fertility rate for all U. S. women is now the lowest it has been since these data have been recorded.
