Thoughts for the day

Spring = windy and that’s what Flagstaff has today.

The Greer fire, south of Flagstaff, is now 15000 acres with little containment.

It is sad that the Supreme Court must revisit Birthright citizenship.

I should have gotten my latest crown today. After fitting it and then x-raying it he decided it didn’t set right. So, now to start with a new temporary and then a new crown. I’ll get refitted at the end of the month.

In Flagstaff we always have spring new road work. Getting to the dentist on the west side of Flag is a different route every time. Then today they are working on the main road [highway 89] to get to I-40 to make it to the west side. When I got off I-40 at Country Club I had to wait for 8 cycles of the stop light to get to Highway 89. Then it was 1 lane in both directions. It took me about 15 minutes to get to the dentist, the return trip was 40 minutes. Gotta love construction.

Native American Tribal Proverbs

"Walk lightly in the spring, and you will not disturb the summer." © ICT News

"Walk lightly in the spring, and you will not disturb the summer" encourages patience and thoughtful action. This proverb speaks to the importance of being gentle with nature and with ourselves.

By moving through life with care, we pave the way for positive outcomes. This wisdom extends beyond nature, advising us to approach challenges calmly.

It suggests that careful nurturing and mindful decisions lead to a fruitful future, ensuring that our actions today do not cause harm tomorrow.

Random Thoughts…

Warsaw Pact countries had Western Movies where the Native Americans were heroes, and the cowboys were villains.

It was the Middle Ages. There’s no way Rapunzel didn’t have lice.

Every zoo can be a petting zoo if you’re brave enough.

Bacteria multiply by dividing.

In 2000, Blockbuster passed on the chance to buy Netflix for $50 million. Netflix is now worth over $50 billion.

Unknown Civilizations that once ruled the world…

Urartu © Google Arts & Culture

Urartu, an ancient kingdom in Eastern Anatolia (modern Armenia and Turkey), was prominent from the 9th to 6th centuries BCE.

Known for its fortresses, Urartians constructed massive stone structures atop mountains, showcasing advanced engineering. Their expertise in metallurgy is evident in the intricate metal artifacts discovered at various sites.

Urartian culture included a unique language and script, contributing to their distinct identity. Their decline occurred due to pressure from neighboring empires like Assyria.

Despite this, their architectural and metallurgical innovations left lasting impressions on subsequent cultures, preserving their influence in history.
