Thoughts for the day

It is so nice to have several spring days in a row.

Yesterday, while at the eye doctor, I was walking from the waiting room to the exam room. The doctor was walking briskly and I suddenly realized that I was walking slowly, like an old man. I picked up my step quite a bit and it felt good. Now I am doing that every time I walk somewhere. Feels good. I hadn’t noticed how lazy I had become.

This morning, while out and about, I stopped in for my COVID booster. Easy.

On the way home I saw a huge brown cloud climbing into the sky east of my place. When I got home, I checked and it’s simply another controlled burn. Dark smoke always alerts those of us who live right on the edge of the forest.

The administration says they are helping in the Myanmar disaster. They sent 3 USAID workers to the area. All 3 were fired soon after arriving. Shameful.
