My Rambling Thoughts
My Amazon adventure was so much more than expected. The Focus group were all great travelers and we saw so much. The Amazon is breathtaking. At our first lodge we had two great guides who taught us so much about life on and near the river. Many of us took a trek that included 8 rope bridges to get us some 180’ up to look over the Canopy. Not a big fan of rope bridges, but these were fairly stable, wide enough and walking across was easy, as long as I didn’t look down. Every day at this lodge was filled with beautiful sights, friendly people, great food, and a lifetime of memories.  More on the trip in upcoming posts. One afternoon two shaman made a presentation that was very educational. Plants play a big role in their healing as does years of education. Psychedelics play a bigger role than I expected.

It has been a month and 4 days since I slipped on an Amazon trail and hurt my wrist. It didn’t ruin the trip, but has led to lots of stories. This is the first time in my life that healing has taken this long. I am tired if the brace that I will be wearing until the end of June. I can drive, I’m not in great pain, but am getting bored. I’m sure that will pass soon. This blog may not be every day as typing with one hand is a tad time-consuming.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
