Thoughts for the day
A very nice summer day.
I got a blood draw this morning for my Monday blood treatment.
In 1963 Alcatraz closed and was later reopened as a tourist attraction.
Now the current administration wants to upgrade it and reopen it as a prison. This
would be very costly for the taxpayers and would not be able to house as many
as he is saying.
Trump wants PBS/NPR to get no Federal funds because he believes their news coverage is biased. Just another delusion in his brain.
Famous Quotes That People Have Always
Misinterpreted
"Sic semper tyrannis" – Marcus Junius
Brutus
This translates to “thus always to tyrants.”
It’s thought that this quote is linked to Julius Caesar’s assassination, but
there’s no historical evidence that Brutus said this during that moment in
time. It gained a reputation after John Wilkes Booth shouted this during the
assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
Literary Legends…

Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird is
a literary landmark, sparking enduring conversations about justice, empathy,
and morality in America. This Pulitzer Prize-winning novel has become a fixture
in classrooms and cultural discourse, challenging readers to confront issues of
prejudice and integrity. Its impact and relevance are frequently highlighted by
educational organizations like the American
Library Association, ensuring Lee’s voice remains
vital in discussions about literature and society.
