Thoughts
A great
day in Flag, cooler than expected, a little cloudy, looked like rain and even
smelled like rain, but none fell on this side of town.
I got a
call from Focus Travel today. Ellie and fellow travelers who went to Victoria
Falls are safely home…after 42 hours of straight travel without a hotel. So
glad I didn’t add Vic Falls to my agenda. Hopefully everyone had as good a time
as I did, and I look forward to our next adventure together. I’ll send out my
Photo Contest stuff tomorrow, as soon as Ellie sends me the Welcome Home email.
Not sure about the Uganda airline trip through Dubai…it may change a little, by
adding a night in Dubai for a little sleep before the return to the US. For
those who travel the whole trip back to Denver that would certainly help. Time
will tell, and I’ll still be spending a night in Houston, no matter what
everyone else does. I’m back on a good Flag schedule finally as I didn’t wake
up till 6am this morning.
I should
mention that the My Latest Adventure are actual pictures I took on my recent
HLO Tours/Focus Travel trip to Kenya and Tanzania with a stopover in Dubai. I
will also be doing a separate blog and a couple of slide shows that will show
up on YouTube sometime in the next few weeks. It was a great trip and couldn’t
wait to share them so this is a sneak peak.

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. - Police in Florida said a man who broke into a Pizza Hut store took two cases of mozzarella cheese when he was unable to open the cash register. Altamonte Springs police said the shoeless bandit was recorded on surveillance video at 2 a.m. June 9 breaking into the store by smashing the glass of the front door with a crowbar and attempting to open a cash register by slamming it on the ground, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reported Tuesday. Police said the man was unable to open the register and then proceeded to the kitchen, where he took two cases of mozzarella cheese before leaving the store. Police said they are attempting to identify the burglar.
