Tidbits
The
coronavirus outbreak continues to take its toll on the world's health
and economy.
Today,
in the U.S., Governors in 11 states have restricted restaurants and
bars from serving customers except for takeout, delivery or
drive-thru lanes, in an attempt to limit the social contact that can
spread the disease.

My
Rambling Thoughts
Expecting
12-16” of snow by Thursday. Should start tonight or early tomorrow
morning. This is added to the Mayor's declaration last night that
closed all restaurants, except for takeout, all theaters, and
entertainment venues, all bars and requested store hours be shrunk
for those open business. She also turned off the parking fees
downtown.
I
have voted in every local, state, and national election since I
turned 21. I have always voted in person when possible. A few city
elections have been mail in only. So today is our Primary Preference
for President. I debated if this would be my first missed election,
but decided to go anyway. The polling place was in the mall. There
were about 10 poll workers and I saw one guy with a sticker as I
headed toward the mall store where we vote. I was the only one voting
and was in and out in about 3 minutes. Then I headed home, since the
mall stores aren't opening until noon and closing at 5p. This virus
protection has become very real in Flagstaff.
Our
discussion group, usually 9 of us, was set to meet this Saturday. I
had planned on being on a cruise so told everyone I wouldn't be
there. But I wasn't on a cruise, so I called to see what was
happening. We are all over 65, and the group decided that we wouldn't
meet until this thing is over.
Today’s
Puzzle
Answer at the bottom of the page
A
man is on a game show. He is presented with two doors, one on the
left, and one on the right. Behind one is 2 million dollars, and
behind the other is a donkey.
Choose
the correct door to win the prize.
There
are also two men in front of the doors, and they know which door
leads to the millions. One wears a black hat, and the other wears a
white hat.
The
host explains that one of the men is a liar, and will always lie, and
the other man will always tell the truth – but you do not know
which is which.
You
can ask only one of the men only one question. What is the question,
and which man do you ask to ensure you win the money?

Puzzle
Answer:
You
ask either man the following question: “If I asked the other guy
which door has the money, what would he say?” and then choose the
opposite door.
Work
it out: If you ask the question to the liar, he will lie about the
‘correct’ answer, so you must choose the opposite door. If you
ask the truth teller, he will tell the truth about the lie, so you
can choose the opposite door as well.
