My Free Rambling Thoughts
Here is a new concept…paper pushers need to read and think. I just got a call from my new investment company and the check for my investment was rejected after I had told them to stop payment on one check and make payment on a second check. I gave them the check number of the stop payment check and of the ‘good’ check. So what do they do? They just don’t pay on either check. So tomorrow with be dealing with bureaucrats and paper pushers.

A really nice day here in Flag…warm, sunny, and a great time to be outside.

Gun control or no gun control…the argument is getting pretty boring. Whenever there is another mass shooting both sides rev up. One side wants more control of who is buying the guns; the other side says that if that happens, only the criminals will have guns. We need a statesman or stateswoman who can come up with a compromise that will stop all this gun violence. Both sides have dug in so deep, that any new idea will have a tough road, but it is the only way anything will ever change.

One interesting thing that has come out in this mess is that the US military is all volunteers. Since we have been in two wars +, the military has lowered its standards for people who make it into the military. Some of our soldiers are convicted felons…as long as it is not a too violent felony. These military personnel can’t vote, but can kill people…and get the training necessary to do it…on our tax dollars. Our people need to wake up and see what is happening.

I watched a video of the ship being turned right side up. Amazing what technology can do today. After being on a ship a little smaller than that one, I can’t imagine how it got straightened out with no leaking.

Brain Teasers
You see me often ladies, For I am a part of your life. I sometimes bother babies But prefer to cause adults strife. My looks are a sign of your personality. My strength cannot measure up to yours. With most people I am there for eternity. Onto me, water often pours. Many look to me with pride, While others wish to change me. Drifting slowly, my time I bide Waiting for you to see That I am just a thing you're given, Not something very important. For I have always been and will forever be dead.

One of the first known contraceptives was crocodile dung, used by Egyptians.
Joke-of-the-day
A head-on collision occurred between a man and a woman. Both emerged from the scene intact while their cars were totally demolished.
The woman said, "This is quite a predicament. We should drink a toast to celebrate this miracle."
The man replied, "What a great idea; I just happen to have a bottle with me."
With this he handed it to the man. The man downed half the bottle and handed it back. The woman would not take it back and said, "I think I will wait until after the police arrive to celebrate."

Yeah, It Really Happened
49-year-old Christopher Jackson was arrested for branded his initials onto his girlfriend.
Are they a pair of kinky fetishists? No. He was mad at her because she wouldn't go out dancing with him. And just to make sure he did the job right he branded her right on her genitals.
Back on May 15, authorities say Jackson had gone to a baseball game. After the game, he wanted to go dancing, but the victim claimed she was too tired. She told investigators he gave her some pills to stay awake, but she ended up passing out.
The victim believes she had been purposely drugged.
Court records show Jackson then used a branding tool and a butane torch to burn the initials "CJ" onto her vaginal area.
"That's pretty crazy and kind of scary," said Brett Schneidt, a neighbor. "I've lived here next to him for 12 years and he always seemed like a normal, calm guy."
Detectives say the woman didn't come forward until last month because she was fearful. She told them Jackson bragged about branding other women in the past and said he did it to her because she belonged to him.
Jackson was charged with a felony count of aggravated assault, causing a serious physical injury.

Brain Teasers
Hair. It often gets in your face (at least it does to girls).
Some babies are born with it, some are not.
You wash your hair often, and get it changed just as much.
This may sound a little too scientific, but hair is made of dead cells, just like your upper layer of skin.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site has mistakes and sadly once out the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
