My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts
A nice change of season day…a tad windy. Warm and blue sky.
Congrats to the UofColorado Buffs on the Men’s win at the NCAA
tourney. I enjoyed the blowout game. A sidenote: Patrick Ewing, the Georgetown
coach, played in the 84 Olympics in LA. I took a break from the Olympics and
went to Disneyland. While taking a quick restroom break, Patrick and a couple
of other players had the same idea. After washing hands, we shook hands and
wished them luck. At the same Olympic trip, we stopped at a Pizza Place on
Santa Monica Pier and met Carl Lewis, the runner. Memorable trip.
The closest entrance to Grand Canyon Nat’l Park is the east gate…near
Cameron on the Navajo Rez. It has been closed since last March. It will be
reopening on May 21st, 2021. This is great news, especially for the
many tourist stands along the road to the Grand Canyon. Things are slowly
looking up.
