True Things
Neighbors in Northampton,
England, have been annoyed by a swan that has been knocking on their doors,
sometimes for hours at a time, for five years, Fox News reported on March 24.
"He starts by rattling the letterbox then bashes the metal with its beak
quite loudly," said resident Stephen Legg. "The racket reverberates
through the whole house." The bird targets houses only on one particular
block, according to local media, but no one seems to know why. [Fox News,

My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts
Yesterday became a busy day. Shopping and lunch took longer than
expected. I had a good lunch and discussion with Mary from our retirement group.
We went to a favorite local and a great lunch on the patio. Weather was amazing.
But alas, no time for this blog.
Fire season is here and yesterday there were 2 small wildfires very
close to Flagstaff. One was on US89…the main road to the Rez and Page, AZ. Any
alternate route adds about 2 hours. The 2-acre fire closed 89 for more than 4
hours. The other was a 1-acre fire started by transients.
I tried to understand the new CDC guidelines on masks. The headline of
course was vaccinated means no masks…except…on public transportation, medical
facilities, nursing homes, or if a store says wear a mask. To be honest, I don’t
enjoy masking up when I am shopping or seeing a doctor. My only problem with
the new guidelines, is that I will now probably leave my mask in my vehicle,
get to the store, and find out they are still requiring masks. A small issue I
know, but I prefer consistency in my life.
That gas line is running again after they probably paid $5million in
ransom. No matter what happens, gas prices will continue to rise…blaming the
rise on necessary technology security or something.
