My Rambling Thoughts
Warm lazy Monday with no hope for monsoon until late in the week. Cooler running to cool off a little. It’s 20% humidity and the normal breeze is very warm.

A battle seems to be brewing between VISA and Kroger. Kroger is threatening to refuse VISA cards if fees aren’t lowered. Hmmm. My bank only issues VISA and I do most of my grocery shopping at Fry’s (AZ’s Kroger). Hope they work it out cause I ain’t gonna stop at my bank to get cash to buy my groceries. This ain’t 1965. Maybe I’ll have to pull out my old checkbook.

Sure glad I don’t live in Venezuela, for many reasons, but today’s reason is their hyper-inflation. It is rising so fast the government is going to lope off 5 zeros on its currency. Here that would mean $100,000 would be worth $1. Ona trip to Africa, a loaf of bread in Zimbabwe cost $1,000,000,000 of their currency.

First day of school at my old stomping grounds. Nice to see the pictures, hear the stories, just glad I don’t have to deal with the pressure.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site contains mistakes and sadly once the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
