Today’s Thoughts

Sunshine and blue sky…couldn’t ask for more.

I got busy yesterday and by the time I got home, I was too tired to post anything.

Yesterday I did some shopping and then met up with Faith and Andy for a nice lunch. They were just back from Phx. Andy’s brother is still in rehab as Andy deals with the medical personnel. They are giving his brother meds to stop his seizures. Andy thinks they need to reevaluate his meds, but the Dr., the rehab center, the hospital in Phx and HIS aren’t communicating very well. It is a daunting task, but both Andy and Faith worked for the Bureau and know how to handle a bureaucracy.

Circle K has a promotion to start summer driving and yesterday between 4p and 7p regular gas was had a 40 cents discount. I went over about 4:15. I filled up my tank at $3.79/gallon. Been quite a while since I’ve seen gas that cheap. I only had about a 5-min. wait for an open pump. I told a couple of friends and both said it sounded ‘sketchy’. I agreed but told them to check the website.

Happy to see the new Jeopardy Masters Champion. I’m a real jeopardy fan since I was in Jr. High. Watching the historical best and most-wins competitors has been very entertaining.

Yesterday there was a 19-acre wildfire near Sedona. By this morning it was 33-acres. It is in rough, steep terrain. I hope they get hold of it soon.

A few weeks ago, I got a new Visa card that pays better cash-back than the one I had. I am in the process of changing all my bills to that new card. This morning I went the APS (Az Public Service) to change my payment. Every time I got blocked from putting in a credit card. I called and after 2+ hours I think it is changed. After three phone center people and two different techs at their credit card provider, a supervisor finally did it. The good outcome is that I remained calm with every new person. When I finally got a supervisor, she simply went on my account and changed it. She apologized and marked my current bill of $75 as paid. I did keep reminding each new person that it was 2023 and not 1970 when it comes to internet payments.
