Today’s Quote
Your
living is determined not so much by what life brings to you
as
by the attitude you bring to life;
not
so much by what happens to you
as
by the way your mind looks at what happens.

You can major in wine at Cornell University.
Technically it's a degree in "Viticulture
and Enology" (a.k.a. the cultivation of grapes and the science of
winemaking).
That's approximately 2.6 pounds, if you're
wondering how much "fruit" you get when you uncork your favorite red.

My Rambling Thoughts
Friday
is another nice day. Glad I shopped earlier this week and was able to take a
nice walk around the neighborhood.
Glad
to see the Broncos won last night.
A
former colleague from Red Lake passed away recently. I just found out today
that Aila passed on July 28. She was teaching in Montana when she became a
founding representative of AISIS, an American Indian Science Professional Organization.
I hired her at Red Lake, and she did a great job. She became our first
certified Gifted Teacher at the school. She met her husband while teaching at
Red Lake. After their marriage, they both transferred to DOD teaching positions
and taught in Japan for about a decade. We stayed in FB contact over the years.
She lost her husband about 8 years ago. She retired about 9 years ago. She had
a stroke about 5 years ago. She was only 67 years old when she passed. She will
be missed.
I
am concerned for the Trump family as we learned that he and the First Lady have
tested positive for COVID. This is hard on his family. It is also hard on the
country with the campaigning and election so close. Just as many are thinking
this year is as crazy as it can get, the WH announces this. Latest news is that
he is taking a non-approved new drug and is being taken to Walter Reed. Scary. Be safe, wear a mask, and social
distance.
