Free Rambling Thoughts…
Rain, a little snow, more rain, lots of wind…ahhh Spring in Flag.
Mary and I had lunch today. She is trying to plan for her time with her grandkids in Phx. Sounds like it will be quite a lot of time, if her son gets his way. Mary is working on cutting down the time, without much drama. That will be quite a task. She took a boat down the San Juan many years ago, and got real excited when she heard I was doing the Colorado. I see a similar trip for Mary and Mike in the next couple of years. She also brought pics of their balloon ride, and now I am excited about mine— over the migration in Africa and over a year away. The wind was blowing so we ate inside at the Sunflower Bread Company. They had the best bread I have eaten. They have a great soup and sandwich combo that is more than enough and all made with organic stuff—whatever that means in today’s world.
I mentioned a few weeks ago my concern about our parking permits to park at the complex. Since that time I have noticed something else. The road around the four building complex has ‘straight-in’ parking on both sides of the street. Most of the time, most residents can basically park right in front of their home with at least one of their vehicles. In the evening the parking closest to the units was always filled and the parking on the other side of the road was not filled until necessary. Times have changed. Now the parking on the other side of the road fills up before the parking in front of the units. I’m not sure if this change is connected to the stupid parking permits, but there certainly is a change. I parked on the other side during snow storms as it was easier to back in and pull out when the snow was more than two or three inches. I also noticed that I am more likely to park there now, even when the weather is good. When parked on the unit side of the road, it is pretty easy to ‘guess’ where someone lives. Parking on the other side makes it more difficult. I didn’t make any connection until I was parking this afternoon. We all have to make adjustments.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The FBI says an Ohio bank robbery suspect left authorities with good surveillance photos because he lowered his hood when an employee told him to.
Stampede!
FBI Special Agent Harry Trombitas says the man in his mid-20s entered a Columbus PNC Bank on Wednesday with his dark hood up, covering most of his face. Trombitas says in a statement that the bank has a "no hats, no hoods" policy, so a bank employee told the man to pull his hood down, and he complied.
The FBI says when the suspect got to the counter, he handed the teller a note saying he had a gun and to give him money or he would shoot. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Columbus police haven't announced an arrest.

Staring at an empty cage, a zoo visitor asks, "Where are all the monkeys?"
"It's mating season," the keeper replies. "They're inside."
"Do you think they'd come out for peanuts?"
"Probably not," answers the keeper.
"Why not?" persists the visitor.
"Would you?"
