My Sometimes-Long-Winded Thoughts
I had a great lunch with my old boss and his wife. They have me
watching their place while they head back to Faith’s childhood home in Indiana
for a few weeks. Faith is officially a retired educator as of this morning. She
is incredibly happy.
Everyone read about the heat wave in the NW recently. Now scientists
are saying that up to 1billion creatures died due the heating of the ocean water.
Sad.
China is pouring many $$$ into Ningxia Province in China so that it
can be come competitive with Napa Valley and Bordeaux, France wine making. One
issue is that the grapevines have to be buried in the ground every winter as
the winter is very harsh there.
A neighbor we grew up with moved to Red Feather Lakes after her
husband passed decades ago. She and my mom, and now I have stayed in touch.
Next week is her 95th birthday. Hope she has a great celebration.
