Free Rambling Thoughts:
Sunshine all day…finally. Even though it is cold, the snow is melting quickly.  Looks like it will be nice, but chilly until the weekend. Glad to see that.

So tonight we hear the State of the Union speech. I used to enjoy watching the Pres and the Congress in the same room, standing, applauding or sitting and looking disgusted…depending on which side of the aisle people were sitting on. I will watch, but not with the enthusiasm of years past…since I realize that with all the sides seem to care about is talking about Bipartisanship when in fact they only want their side to win and the other side to lose. I said of the 112th, and now afraid the 113th Congress is no different. What we need in DC are well educated, statesmen and stateswomen; people who truly have an understanding of what our country stands for and will work to find a way to make that happen. Politics has always been a dirty business and has gotten worse with all the media coverage of the inner workings. Congressional hearings are out of hand. The nominee says “I am a true American” and someone on the other side will say “I find that statement disturbing at the least and certainly a reason that I will not vote for conformation.” One congress person holds hearings on a bill and the other side says that this bill will lead to the ruination of the way of life we know in America. I will watch the President, and will probably agree with many of his proposals, but I will hold out very little hope that any successes will arise from this congress or this administration.

Our staff has completed the 18 months of work on time and on budget. We have gone through every line of code in every program in every system. We have analyzed all databases, all data files, including backups and historic archives, and modified all data to reflect the change. We are proud to report that we have completed the "Y-to-K" date change mission, and have now implemented all changes to all programs and all data to reflect your new standards:

I trust that this is satisfactory, because to be honest, none of this Y to K problem has made any sense to me. But I understand it is a globalproblem, and our team is glad to help in any way possible. And what does the year 2000 have to do with it? Speaking of which, what do you think We ought to do next year when the two digit year rolls over from 99 to 00? We'll await your direction.

All ‘data’ info is from the internet sites and is usually checked with at least one other source, but I have learned that every site has mistakes and sadly once out the information is out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates may not be totally accurate.
