Today’s Thoughts
I
woke up today to some late night/early morning showers. Only lasted until about 10:00. Still enjoyed.
There
was no blog yesterday because I was very busy.
About 9am I got a phone call from a friend here in Flag. She is 78 years
old and is a slow walker. She had a Dr. appointment, and her car wouldn’t start.
I got her to the appointment on time. When she came out…about 9:50, I asked her
what she was going to do about her car. She said she wasn’t sure, since it hadn’t
started for about a week. I asked if she need any stuff before I took her home.
She needed some groceries, then some meds, and some other stuff. Then we had a
late lunch. I got back home about 3pm. I had some stuff to do around the house
and finished about 5pm. Long busy day.
The
Buffalos lost badly to Washington State. Looks like no bowl game for CU.
I
have been surprised when many well-known colleges were having pro Hamas
demonstrations along with anti-Jewish demonstrations. I did some reading and
found out Tic Tok has been inundated with pro-Hamas videos that the Tic Tok
generation are reading. The newest entries include an Osama Bin Ladin letter
written by him in the early 90’s where he denounces the US. It had been up on
Tic Tok for less than 24 hours before Tic Tok took it down. In that short time,
it had 15 million views. That’s scary.

the south, most people pronounce the word 'caught' like 'kawt,' while
Northerners pronounce it a lot like the word 'cot.'
Random Trivia…
Fishy
Fact©Wikimedia Commons
Once
a year, in the Honduran city of Yoro, it rains fish. It's aptly named the Lluvia
de Peces (or Rain of Fish). In May or June every year, like clockwork,
a torrential rainstorm rolls through town. In its wake, a mass of living fish
can be found in the streets. The phenomenon was confirmed by a National
Geographic team in the 1970s...
...but
whether or not the fish are literally raining from the sky is still
unknown. Some scientists believe the fish could be carried into town by
waterspouts or water tornadoes, which drop their strange parcels over land when
they run out of steam. Whatever the explanation, we hope the residents of Yoro
like seafood.

“Arrogance is a killer, and wearing ambition on one’s
sleeve can have the same effect. There is a fine line between arrogance and
self-confidence. Legitimate self-confidence is a winner. The true test of
self-confidence is the courage to be open — to welcome change and new ideas
regardless of their source. Self-confident people aren’t afraid to have their
views challenged. They relish the intellectual combat that enriches ideas.”
