Another Red Flag day here in Flag. No new fires. The fire from last week just outside Flag is now 95% contained and burned 600 acres. The three big firs down south are just getting bigger. More places are being evacuated. Several new towns are now under pre-evacuation orders. Such a shame. And the wind tomorrow is expected to be a repeat of today. The wind is blowing the smoke all over the west and middle America, which is a blessing for the people around the fire. Without wind, all the smoke would be settling into the area and causing more evacuations. Of course, people in Colorado and NM are having trouble breathing clean air.
I am very tired of reading and hearing about the sex scandals in DC and other politicians. Who are these people? “Conduct unbecoming” for sure. The latest idiot has been lying to everyone for over a week. All I knew about him before he tweeted a picture of if underwear…while he was wearing it was a speech he made on the floor of the house. He was shouting and telling his opponents to sit down and be quiet and then saying ‘the gentleman is correct for sitting down.’ Theater for sure. There are PSA’s all the time, telling teenagers and young adults to stop ‘sexting’ as the images are out there forever. Now a Congressman is ‘sexting’ and lying for a week about it before coming clean. Another guy paid almost $1million so his dying wife would not find out that he had an affair and a child from that affair. Another was looking for sex while in a men’s room at an airport. All I can say about all these stories is creepy, icky, and gross. I realize that everyone should be able to have their private lives separate from their public lives. I worked for most of your history. What today’s politicians need to understand is that times have changed.
Thanks to Sara I now know what Paul Revere was really doing….old news. Today several people attempted to change the Wikipedia entry on Paul Revere to make her story the real story. Some are claiming that it was Sara’s followers. As far as I’m concerned, it could have been anti-Sara people pulling a prank. Of course Wikipedia stopped the changes, but this is a good reminder that Wikipedia may not be the best source to use for leaning anything.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — The cicadas may be dying off, but they're going out with a bang.
Last week, a Putnam County man called 911 to complain about the bugs. The noise was so loud that the caller thought there was machinery outside.
When deputies went to the house, they discovered that it was cicadas making the commotion. They told the residents that the noise would stop in about a week.
No one was arrested.
