Thoughts for the day
The sky is deep blue, there are no
clouds, the sun is melting the latest 8” of snow. The HOA has been negligent in
shoveling during the last two storms. Luckily one of my neighbors has been
doing the main walkway, so I just must do the 10’ up to my door. Nice. I’ll go
out a little later and clean off my vehicle.
I’m busy reading for our next
discussion group. I’m doing the presentation on The Evolution of US Leadership
in the Global Economy: Dilemmas and Choices. It should be a good discussion
next Saturday.
Symbols of USA and their hidden meaaning…
The
National Anthem
"The
Star-Spangled Banner," the national anthem of the United States, is a
tribute to the resilience and bravery of the American people. Written by
Francis Scott Key during the War of 1812, it captures the nation's spirit in
the face of adversity.
The
lyrics celebrate the enduring commitment to freedom and the triumph of the
human spirit. Performed at various national events, the anthem fosters a sense
of unity and pride among citizens.
Its
powerful words resonate with those who cherish the values of liberty and
justice. The anthem is more than a song; it's a testament to the nation's
enduring legacy.
