My
Rambling Thoughts
At 6a it was beautiful here, then by 8a the clouds came in and by
9a we were getting a lot of rain. Mary drove us over to Williams, where it had
also rained, but by the time we got there, the rain had moved to Flag. By the
time we got back, the rain had also left Flag and the sky was clear. Good lunch…anybody
ever hear of spaghetti with bison meatballs? Very good. Cheryl’s siding and
roof are coming along and will look amazing when finished. Her new windows are
also very nice.
So one former governor and his wife discovered that blaming
everything on the other person doesn’t really work. Fraud is still fraud, and
now they may be paying with big prison sentences.

INVITING GUESTS
If you are giving a
party and you live in the suburbs, invite two times the number of people you
want to attend. If you live within range of public transportation, invite one
and a half times the number of people you want. If you are in the heart of the
city, invite one and a quarter times the number of people you want.
Unusual
Fact of the Day…
The
Flintstones was
sponsored by a cigarette company during the show's first two seasons. The show
was intended for adults, not kids, so few complained about the commercials that
depicted the stone-age characters puffing away on Winstons.

Joke-of-the-day
People say that there is no difference between
‘finished’ and ‘complete’.
I say there is.....
Marry the right person, and you’re ‘complete’
Marry the wrong person, and you’re ‘finished’
Yeah, It
Really Happened
BOCA RATON, Fla. (UPI) - A man in South Florida stopped in the
middle of being chased by police Friday to ask for water and pet some cats.
Authorities said Daniel Pinedo-Velapatino, 21, had stolen thousands in cash
from his friend's wallet after a night of drug use. He then crashed a Lexus
into multiple vehicles -- including a police cruiser -- and a fire hydrant
before ditching the car. Officers from Boca Raton and Delray Beach were
pursuing Velapatino on foot when he showed up at Candice Noonan's back sliding
glass door. "I said, 'Excuse me, can I help you?'" Noonan told WPBF.
"He said, 'Oh, I'm so sorry. Next door, I'm mowing the lawn. Do you mind
if I have a glass of water?'" When Noonan returned with a bottle of water,
she found the supposed landscaper inside her house, lying on the floor petting
her cats, which she described as "very odd." "It almost looked
like he either was on drugs or he was mentally handicapped," she said.
Noonan's husband began questioning Velapatino, who fled the premises. Noonan
said they realized what had happened when they noticed police vehicles passing
outside. The suspect attempted to escape by swimming across the nearby
Intracoastal Waterway but was apprehended by a police boat. Police said that Velapatino
stole the money to pay back $2,000 to his mother.

Alberto
Korda was the photographer whose photo of Che Guevara appears on T-shirts and
posters all over the world.
The
photo, which was taken in 1960, is probably one of the best-known photos in the
world – but Korda never received a penny in royalties.
However,
five years ago he took the people who had made money from the photo to court,
and won 30,000 pounds which he gave to the Cuban health service.

When
we get to know people we quite often ask them about their music tastes, as it
reveals many things about their character, as well as lifestyle.
So,
what are people’s characteristics based on their music tastes?
Fans
of pop, country and soundtrack music are usually more conventional and
conservative, cheerful, outgoing and sociable.
Fans
of hip hop, funk, rap, soul, dance and electronic music attracts talkative,
extrovert, and romantic people. Those people like going to parties and find
social recognition important.
Fans
of classical, jazz and other ‘complex’ music are considered to be quite intelligent,
creative and open to new experiences.
Fans
of alternative, heavy metal, rock music and gangsta rap tend to be people
who enjoy taking risks and having thrilling experiences. Also, they are
curious, independent and rebellious.

have learned that every site has mistakes and sadly once out the information is
out there, many sites simply copy it and is therefore difficult to verify. Also
for events occurring before the Gregorian calendar was adopted [1582] the dates
