Thoughts for the day
Raining on and off today. Nice!
I had a nice lunch with Andy and Faith. They are headed back to Phx and
on to Seattle to begin their Alaskan Cruise. When they get back from that they
will spend another week visiting their colleague Lisa in Oregon. I’ll be
keeping their trees alive.
Today’s rain is sure nice.
Native American Tribal Proverbs
"May the winds of
destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars."© Magnolia Box
This poetic proverb wishes for
a life filled with dreams and opportunities. It encourages us to embrace our aspirations
and let destiny guide us. The image of dancing with the stars evokes a sense of
wonder and possibility.
By trusting in the winds of
destiny, we open ourselves to life’s adventures. This wisdom inspires hope and
courage, urging us to pursue our passions with an open heart. It’s a call to
believe in our potential and to strive for the extraordinary, guided by the
stars.

Kingdom of
Lydia© Wikipedia
The Kingdom of Lydia, located
in western Anatolia, flourished from the 7th to 6th centuries BCE. Lydia is
credited with inventing coinage, revolutionizing trade and economy in the
ancient world.
Their capital, Sardis, became
a hub of commerce and culture. Lydians were known for their wealth, partly due
to gold deposits in the Pactolus River. Their innovations in economics and
governance influenced neighboring regions.
Despite conquest by the
Persian Empire, Lydia's impact on currency and trade practices remains
significant, shaping financial systems in the ancient and modern world.
