My
Rambling Thoughts
Blue
sky today...not warm enough for a walk without a jacket. Slowly
warming up.
Remember
the good old days, when taxes were due today? Yeah, that was last
year. I filed electronically about two weeks ago, and yesterday both
refunds hit my account. Still waiting for the stimulus check, but
that was fast for the IRS. No complaints.
I
am used to our President's bluster, but he went too far yesterday
when he said when sombody is President of the United States, the
authority is total. He needs to read the Constitution, since he must
have missed in Civics class.
I
am getting slightly concerned about the political divide in our
country. I am seeing posts, stories, and videos of people suggesting
the stay-at-home thing is just a way to take away our civil rights. A
former student sent me a video of a crazy lady, about 30, saying that
the virus is a hoax...we can't see it so it's fake...and she will
wait for the masses to rise up and prove it. She will join the masses
when that happens. A former co-worker sent me another one about how
we are all going to get implants that will show everything we do
every minutes, that 'they' can read and arrest us if we are anti-
anything. This stay-at-home thing is causing people to believe
anything. I'm hoping for calmer times.
So
Obama and Bernie have both endorsed Biden for President. I hope this
unites the party and then the country. We need to be one nation
united with liberty and justice for all.
