Thoughts
for the day
Yesterday’s phlebotomy was a bust. They
needed 500 blood and after an hour only had 150. Trying again today.
Overnight our town got over an inch of
rain. This is almost unheard of. It was loud and it was very wet.
Early voting takes preparation. In
Oregon they added fire suppression devices in all the drop off boxes for
voting. They didn’t in Washington state. Both had fire bombs put in some drop
boxes. Oregon lost 3 ballots and notified the voter of the problem. Washington
lost many more and is still trying to figure out which ballots were destroyed.
This is America today. Sad.
Note to self: Trump’s Madison Square
Garden rally was many things. It was NOT as Donald said “An absolute love fest”.
Watch the tape.
Every Trump rally plays Lee Greenwood’s
‘God Bless the USA’. He is even selling bibles with the lyrics included.
Now he is also selling ‘God
Bless You Canada.’ With only a few words changed. Weird.

Marvel Comics and DC comics jointly own a trademark on the word “superhero.”
Film composer John Williams is the second most Academy Award-nominated person
in history with 49 nominations, right after Walt Disney.
Queen Victoria was never confirmed to have said “we are not amused”, a phrase
commonly attributed to her.
The term “shotgun seat” in a car is derived from the Old West, when
stagecoaches employed a man armed with a shotgun to sit next to the driver and
fend off bandits.

The Price of Theft
Exploding toilets in communal bathrooms were seemingly common
in Roman times
The most well-known of their bathroom activities was still
the fact that they used communal toilets for personal use. They could be found
all over Rome and had lines of toilets next to each other. Everything was then
flushed down the drains.
The sewer system was not the same as it
is now. It wasn’t long before hazardous gasses like methane began to build up
in the sewers. They were known to cause explosions or cause toilets to burst
into flames. Although there have been no reported cases of people losing their
lives due to toilets, it is possible.
