This has to be the hottest day in Flag this year. My deck was 90° and there was no breeze to cool things off. Needless to day, I didn’t set up the deck in that kind of heat.
I forgot that today was the opening ceremony for a replica of the Vietnam Wall here in Flagstaff. It is here through the weekend. I’ll make it tomorrow. Martha, my bag piping friend, and some other pipers and drummers played. I had planned to go, but didn’t put it on my calendar, so I just spaced it.
I was shocked today when the report on Bush’s spying on the American public. The spying didn’t shock. What did shock me was that with all this evidence, they probably won’t prosecute. Our constitution was ignored, and no one wants to prosecute. No wonder so many in the world wonder about our form of democracy.
