Random Tidbits
Tax
protesters raise a number of different kinds of arguments, these typically
include constitutional arguments, such as claims that the Sixteenth Amendment
to the Constitution was not properly ratified or that it is unconstitutional
generally, or that being forced to file an income tax return violates the Fifth
Amendment privilege against self-incrimination.
These
arguments rarely work out for them.

My Rambling Thoughts
Another great
spring day.
Hope you are
enjoying your Good Friday. Back in the day, as a child, we would get dressed up
and go with another family to several of the large Catholic churches in Denver.
The other family was Catholic and there were 6-8 kids around our age. All I
remember doing is walking into the churches, saying a prayer, waiting a few
minutes, and leaving to head to the next church. It is a good memory.
It’s been 20
years since Columbine. It is so hard to believe how much this country has
changed since that fateful day. Still no way to stop these horrific acts. When
I was in school it was the fire drill and a couple of ‘duck & cover’ drills.
Now every school has regular lockdown drills. The way first responders react to
a real act has changed. But, people can still buy automatic weapons and huge
magazines and kill so many. And the numbers of innocent children just keeps
rising.
