Today’s Quote
I
would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought,
and
that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.

Random Tidbits
The rare metal gallium melts at 86 degrees F. It is
safe to touch. If you hold a piece of it in your hand and wait, your body heat
will melt it.

True Things
With so many licensed owners gun accidents aren't
unusual in the state of Texas, but having a person injured after their dog
opens fire on them is something new.
According to police, the shooting happened recently in
Plano when the unidentified man picked up his dog while wearing a pistol tucked
in his waistband.
Somehow the dog's paw somehow got caught on the
trigger and the pistol fired. The bullet hit the owner in the thigh.
The shot reportedly went straight through the leg and
didn't cause a lot of damage. The owner will fully recover.
Plano police offered the following safety tips for gun
owners:
When you are carrying your firearm, make sure you have
a holster that is safe and protects the trigger from any inadvertent
discharges.
When you are not carrying your firearm, store it in a
gun safe or other locking device to keep it out of the hands of others.

My Rambling Thoughts
And
the wind arrived…not a day to be out and about.
The
Cardiac Cardinals strike again with a touchdown in the last 2 seconds to win
the game. What a game.
I
truly wish there was a National Response to Covid. What happened to One Nation,
Indivisible? Right now, every state government is doing something to stop this
virus. Since there is little coordination between states there is no plan…it’s
like roping off a section of the swimming pool for peeing. Technology has
developed apps that can show us about the infection in our area. Don’t
understand it, but it can be helpful. The problem is that each state is
developing its own app for their state and neighboring states don’t share information.
Crazy.
How
about a motel room for $775/night/person? That is what the US Gov’t is spending
for each detainee in an immigration tent camp in Texas. Wow!
Today’s Puzzle
Answer at the bottom of the page
I have no voice, yet I speak to you. I tell of all
things in the world that people do. I have leaves, but I am not a tree. I have
pages, but I am not a bride. I have a spine, but I am not a man. I have hinges,
but I am not a door. I have told you all. I cannot tell you more. What am I?
