Thoughts for the day

A nice winter day for the snow to melt.

There was a ¼” crust of icy snow on top of the wet, fluffy snow on my vehicle when I brushed it off. The crust broke off in huge pieces while the snow just fell to the ground. A strange site to behold.

Our Phx PBS station ran 50 years of Peter, Paul, & Mary. I DVR’d it and am watching it in sections. I was a big fan of PP&M back in the mid 60’s through college. It brings back many memories. I wish today’s younger generations had the same drive and commitment we had back then.

Symbols of USA and their hidden meaaning…

The Bald Eagle

The bald eagle, soaring gracefully through the skies, is a potent symbol of strength, courage, and freedom. Adopted as the national bird in 1782, this majestic creature embodies the spirit of independence that the US cherishes.

Its powerful wings and sharp gaze make it a fitting emblem of a nation that values liberty above all else. Often depicted in seals and emblems, the bald eagle serves as a constant reminder of the country's commitment to protecting its freedoms.

The eagle's ability to fly high above the earth is symbolic of the aspirations and dreams of the American people. It stands as a beacon of hope and resilience, inspiring generations to reach for the skies.

Random Thoughts…

§  In a 500-day period, I could theoretically meet someone, get married, have a baby, and get divorced, and I’d still be using the same box of Q-tips.

§  There are Ides in every month, not just March. The Ides are basically the day marking the middle of each month.
